Weekend Feng Shui!

Tips that you can try this weekend.

I can’t believe that it is Friday again! Even though it is my favorite day, it comes around so fast!

If you didn’t know, I homeschool all three of my children. They are aged 12, 10 and 8. We call Fridays ‘fun day friday’ and always take a break from schoolwork to take a field trip.

This week I was working with a client and in her home she had a dark room that wasn’t receiving much positive Chi. I noticed that she had a mirrored disco ball hanging in the corner of the room. She had heard about hanging a Feng Shui crystal to bring some positive Chi to the room and couldn’t find one, so the disco ball acted in its place. I will tell you that it was so cute! And bought some fun to an otherwise dark room.

I will be recommending disco balls from now on!

My first tip for this weekend is to see where in your home lacks Chi and light and hang a crystal or disco ball! This would be a space that no one really goes to, that doesn’t feel welcoming or a room without or has a small window.

My second tip for this week, is to clean and wipe down your coffee table. The coffee table is usually the center of a room, it allows Chi to move at a steady space. You will often find that a living room without a coffee table will not feel calm or comfortable. Sometimes the coffee table just needs to breathe. Declutter, wipe down and redecorate.

This is why Feng Shui is so important, so my last tip for this week is figure out one area of your life that you feel is ‘missing’ and think of ways you can add it to your home.

For example, if it has been a while since your last vacation. Place a picture of a country you would like to travel to and place it in your travel and helpful people Gua according to the Bagua map.
