9 days to better Feng Shui

Hello beautiful souls! In this blog post i wanted to be of service to you! I want you to have better Chi flow in your home and create a home in sync with your goals! Why? You are worthy and I believe in in you!

There is no better time to make some changes and adjust the Chi flow in your home as the Lunar New Year is just around the corner (January 29th). Set your home up to become a magnet for love, abundance and opportunities.

Let’s get started!

Before we get into it, i want you to get familiar with the Bagua Map. I love the Bagua, it is simple to apply and it makes sure that we are covering every area of life. I use it because it really is simple to use and you can apply it to any home, anywhere in the world without the complication of a compass or knowing which hemisphere you are on!

To map out your home, Align the bottom of the map (the part that contains the knowledge and self cultivation, career and travel and helpful people) along the wall that contains the main entrance of your home. You will then be able to easily identify the other areas of the Bagua. If you need help, I can help you HERE.

What we are simply going to do over the 9 days is activate each area.

(You may feel like you want to rush and do all areas in one day, but trust me, slow and intentional is best. Tending to all areas with all of your energy will be more impactful.)

When we activate the areas of the Bagua we spark the energy and light up our manifestations.

Tip: Before you make changes to your environment, you may want to sage and cleanse your space first. This will rid the home of unwanted, stagnant energy. If doing this isn’t your thing, you can simply open the front and back doors for a few minutes to let out the old energy and invite in fresh energy.

Day one: The Career Gua.

This area of the Bagua is activated by the element of water. We can add water to the area by using the colors black or blue and use decor items like mirrors, wavy lines, glass vases and pictures of water. If you add a picture of water, make sure the scene is calm and smooth and not rough with crashing waves. Set the intention of one thing you would change in your career and one thing you want to happen. Add the water element with this intention. You can even say an affirmation such as I am worthy of the career I desire as you do it.

Clean the area and remove any clutter (important for each Gua) and happily move throughout your day with the energy of your dream career already happening.

Day Two: The knowledge and self cultivation Gua.

This area is activated by the element of earth and the colors teal, dark blue, yellow, brown and green. The earth element can be shown in ways of natural materials like a terracotta plant pot or cotton curtains. If you love to read and can do so in the area, create a reading nook or simply use this area to meditate. When this area is activated you will find that you have more clarity in your life and decisions will be easier to make.

Activate the area and use the affirmation Every decision I make, makes my life richer as you work in this area.

This is a great area to get to know who you are.

Day Three: Travel and helpful people Gua.

Often times when this area is out of alignment, you will experience travel delays or canceled plans. You may even find that when you have an issue in the home, such as a plumbing problem, the handyman just doesn’t show up or can’t seem to find the issue.

To activate this Gua, use metal elements. Sleek metal decor and the colors silver, white, gold, grey and bronze. Avoid fire elements like candles in the area as it will be destructive.

This is the place to display pictures of countries you would like to travel to, a globe with metal elements and souvenirs from travels you have.

Use the affirmation I am deeply supported and all my needs are met as you activate this Gua.

Day Four: Family Gua

The color to activate is green and the element is wood. This is the Gua that you can add, happy family pictures and a plant would be such a great activator. I have had clients place pictures of family members with strained relationships in this area and the relationships healing over time with great success!

Put family as the focus here, even if it is just a picture of your dog! This is also the area to represent new beginnings. Adding a plant will activate growth and expansion. You an also add some water element to help flow with that.

Avoid metal elements if you can.

Use the affirmation I have a wonderful, supportive family as you activate this area.

Day Five: Health

This area is the center and is responsible for the health of the family in the home. Decorate with the color yellow and the earth element. It is crucial that this area is clear of clutter and if you clean only one area of your home regularly, let it be this one! Yellow will energize the space and adding earth decor will keep it healthy. I love to spray a lemon scented room spray every few days in the center of my home.

You can add a potted plant in a ceramic pot as a great activator.

Use the affirmation Every cell of body is healthy as you activate the health gua.

Day Six: Children and Creativity Gua.

The element here is metal and you can activate with the colors grey, white, and metallics. You can also decorate with round shapes.

This area is a perfect place to display artwork done by children you know and also a great place for you to do any creative projects. Just make sure that the projects are finished and haven’t been left unfinished for a while. This will signify not finishing what you start in all areas of life. Working in this Gua will help to ignite imagination and creative ideas. You can even place a picture of your as a child to send love to your inner child.

Use the affirmation My mind is full of amazing ideas as you activate this Gua.

Day Seven: Wealth and prosperity Gua.

This is usually everyone’s favorite! To activate use the element wood, and the colors purple or green.

This Gua of your home should feel wealthy and luxurious to you. Add a wealth bowl of coins and crystals such as Citrine, Pyrite and Amethyst and Plants for the element of wood. It is vital that this area is free of broken objects and that is has good lighting. Perhaps a lamp in this area to light up money making opportunities. You can decorate with a piggy bank that is full of coins and plants such as a money tree or snake plant.

While activating this Gua use the affirmation I love money and money loves me.

Remember, don’t over do this area. When we place too many money activating cures it can symbolize lack and have the energy of chasing money. Be simple but intentional.

Day Eight: Fame and Reputation Gua.

Ok, so this Gua isn’t about becoming famous ( unless that’s your goal) but more about being recognized in your field of work. Maybe you are looking for a pay raise or promotion or just want to be praised for all of the work you do and have done. This Gua can help with that.

The element to use is Fire and the colors red and orange. Triangular shapes and animal prints also represent fire.

A great activator is framing any awards and achievements and placing it in this Gua and using the fire element, like candles to ignite the fire of your intention. You can also put books or pictures of people you aspire to be and look up to or a picture of you at work or doing what you love. Great lighting is also a must in this Gua. Make sure you have no burnt out light bulbs. You can also display your visionboard in this area.

Use the affirmation I am celebrated in all that is do as you activate this gua.

Day Nine: The Love Gua.

In this Gua we want to decorate and activate in pairs. If you add one decor item, add a second one for balance and harmony in relationships. Use the earth elements and the colors red and pink to activate.

Artwork that represents a healthy loving relationship is great. Avoid adding single items or artwork that shows a single person or object.

You could add a pair of candle sticks or two rose quartz crystals to energize the energy of love. If you are married, you can hang a picture from your wedding day.

Avoid placing pictures of family here. I once had a client that had a picture of her in laws in this area and her mother in law was always interfering in her marriage! Be intentional with how you want your romantic love to feel and the recreate those feelings here.

Use the affirmation I am worthy of an amazing, loving relationship as you activate this Gua.

In order for all of the Guas to work in harmony, they should all be activated as they all support eachother. So in order for a loving relationship, you must activate the Knowledge and self cultivation gua to know yourself and also the health gua for a healthy relationship in order to have a lasting, romantic love. Shown below.

After you have completed the nine days, take note of all the changes that happen over the next few months. Know that the energy of your home is working for you and trust the process.
