Why you need a Mala necklace
So back in 2019, when I was creating jewelry, i got asked to make a Mala necklace.
I thought, what is a mala necklace??
I went to my computer and searched it up and I knew i needed one for myself. It was a time where i struggled to stay focused on my goals and i knew i needed to add one to my meditation practice. As i made one for this client, after learning what they were, i made myself one and wore it almost everyday.

What is a Mala necklace?
The word ‘Mala’ is Sanskrit for ‘garland’. A Mala necklace is a garland type necklace that you can use to help you repeat and affirm mantras.
They are often made with 108 beads, with a Guru bead in the center to mark the beginning and the end of a cycle of repetition. 108 is said to be the numerical version of ‘OM’, an important sound in meditation. The key is to hold each bead between the thumb and fingers while chanting or saying your affirmations so that you are saying them 108 times. It’s purpose is to help the mind gain clarity and focus on the affirmation you choose. They can be made using seeds, sandalwood, gemstones, pearls or crystals.
I chose crystals and gemstones as they each have there own properties and energies.
Mala necklaces can also just be worn as a fashion piece. They actually look really cute with jeans!
When i wake up in the morning and get to my morning meditation i often grab my Mala and use it to repeat my chosen affirmation. I also use it just to say ‘thank you’ 108 times. Starting the day off with gratitude is life changing!
When selecting the correct Mala for you, look for a bead material that you love. As i said earlier i used Crystals to make mine. Wearing a rose quartz Mala necklace while repeating affirmations for love, is a guaranteed way to attract love in your life. Infuse your Mala with your energy and the affirmations you choose.
When we repeat affirmations daily, they are quicker to show up in our reality.
One of my clients asked me to create a Mala necklace made of all of the crystals for wealth. I used a mix of Citrine, Amethyst and Pyrite. She then would repeat her money affirmations everyday 108 times and within a month she was manifesting money from places she could never imagine!
Repeating affirmations is so powerful for manifestation. You may not believe them first (i know i didn’t) but with enough repetition your mind will start to believe them and they will become your reality.
They can also help bring clarity to decisions. When we put our mind and focus in one place and quiet the thoughts by meditating, the answers and solutions come to us faster. Sometimes i will just take my Mala and hold each bead while asking a question and the answer usually is revealed to me that day or a solution will come up.
Simply put, they are a beautiful strand of beads that you can use to enhance your spirituality and bring your manifestations to fruition!
