5 Feng Shui tips for your wallet

and what the color of your wallet means

I would say that this up there with one of my most asked questions. Money is one of the biggest reasons why people want to Feng Shui with me and learning how to Feng Shui your wallet can make you a magnet for more money.

Make space for more money by applying Feng Shui to your wallet.

Your wallet is an important vessel for money it is where money comes and goes. It holds all of your credit and debit cards and currency, it goes with you almost everywhere and it is something you use daily. It is an essential place to Feng Shui. Just like the money corner in your home, your wallet also holds the energy of your wealth.

I once had a client that carried 11, yes 11, credit cards, everywhere she went. When she came to me she was seeking more flow in her finances and was losing sleep over her growing debt. When she told me she had 11 credit cards and ,that everywhere she went they would go with her, we quickly realized that she was carrying the weight of her debt literally, wherever she went. The energy around her was heavy and she was cutting herself off from the abundance that was trying to make it’s way to her. We cut down the number of credit cards to 2 and she would rotate the ones she carried. She felt as if a weight had been lifted and found a check in her mailbox that evening!

5 Feng Shui tips for your wallet

  1. This is the most important tip. Declutter your wallet and purse of garbage, old receipts, expired cards, empty gift cards and all of the things that need to be thrown away. Receipts in general always hold the energy of money that has already been spent. They represent the past and need to be thrown away. When we throw out garbage and things from our wallet and purse we are energetically making space for new money and opportunities to come in. A crammed wallet full of junk has no room for more money!

  2. Make sure that your wallet is in good condition. You want to welcome money properly and the condition of your wallet can say a lot about your financial situation. Remember, it doesn’t really matter where your wallet is from, just that you love it and it is in good condition. Make sure zippers are working properly and that it is easy for you to pull out your cards to pay. If you struggle to pull them out, check in which other ways you are struggling financially.

  3. Even though many people don’t carry cash anymore, having some in your wallet is great Feng Shui! In this day and age we see people paying with cards and even their phones, but cash will always have an abundant energy. Even if you don’t spend the cash, having it in your energy will help you to feel abundant. Similarly, you can write yourself a check of a desired amount you would like to have and carry it in your wallet.

  4. Limit the number of credit cards you carry. Credit cards represent debt. Like the client story i shared above, credit cards can have us spending money we don’t have and then leave us feeling guilty or having negative thoughts. Please note: Credit cards serve a purpose and can help us in time of need, but from a Feng Shui perspective, the less we carry the better.

  5. Size matters! If you have a large wallet and not much in it, it can represent lack and, having a wallet that is too small can make it seem like you have no space for more money. Choose a wallet that holds what you need comfortably with some space for more to come in. Similarly, having a purse that is too big and having to go searching for your wallet can have you feeling like money is hard to find and receive.
