How to Feng Shui for new beginnings
Hello Beautiful people!
I wanted to write this blog post as I was inspired by my recent clients.
I am finding that lately, the clients that I am attracting are all looking for new beginnings, new opportunity and a fresh start. Maybe this is you and you are not sure where to start. Luckily, you have me to help you!
We all get to a stage in life where we may feel stagnant and we don't know how to move forward or, we know what we want but not sure how to get it. I am going to teach you how I help my clients that need that direction and maybe a little nudges in the right direction.
The first step is recognizing that we would like a positive change in our life and defining what that looks like. Get specific. Close your eyes, see and feel it.
The second step is feeling gratitude for where you are now and how far you have come. Your current life is the product of your past manifestations. You have come so far and once dreamed about all you have now. Be proud of yourself even if it’s not quite where you want to be.
(We always start with working on our inner Chi and preparing our nervous system to handle the changes)
The third step is to prepare the energy in your home to receive the new beginnings and new opportunities.
Feng Shui tips for new beginnings
✨️ Take a look at the family and new beginnings area of your home using the Bagua Map. This is located in the left middle section of your home. Take note of what is there and which room it falls in. This is the area of your home that is responsible for new beginnings, growth, healing the past, healthy and balanced family relationships and your life legacy.
Enhancing this area will help to release guilt and blame.
Often times we can’t move on and attract new opportunities because we are blaming others or holding onto guilt and resentment.
You may like to write a forgiveness letter to everyone that you feel has wronged you in the past to let it go and move on (highly recommend!)
To activate this area of the home we use the wood element. So plants, wooden baskets, pictures of family in wooden frames are all great activators. We can also strengthen the wood element by adding metal accents.
Avoid the water element. Water will be destructive here.
Use the colors green, blue and brown and decorate in item numbers of 3. This area is connected to the season if spring, so this is a really great time to call in new beginnings.
✨️ Add a new welcome mat to the entrance of your home and an wreath to your front door. Make sure you are welcoming fresh new energy and allowing it to stay. Spring is also a great time to do a porch or front door refresh. Make sure all outdoor bulbs are working and the number of your home is clean and clear. Give your front door a good wipe down weekly whenever you are wanting some new opportunities.
Fact: I added a hanging basket of flowers to my front door this week and received an email to appear in a local TV morning show, not even an hour later!
✨️ Move 27 things in your home. This is a Feng Shui method that has been used for centuries. It helps to signify change and the need for change. If you need to move furniture around you can but it can also just be a switching around of your home decor.
27 is a powerful number in Feng Shui as it is a multiple of 9 (auspicious number) and 2+7=9.
Also, moving a few items won’t make as big of an impact as moving 27. It is like a reset for the energy in your home. Perfect for attracting new beginnings.
✨️ Do a closet clearing. Making space for new opportunities will mean letting go of the old version of you. If you have things that don’t fit still hanging in your closet, let them go. Physically create space. It’s ok, to have room in your closet that isn’t filled. This will also create space in the mind and then you can clearly receive intuitive hints on what to do next.
✨️ If you have an interview or meeting coming up, wear green or brown. These are the colors for new beginnings and growth.
Final Thoughts
You can really do anything you set your mind to. You can have all of the things that you want when you know how to receive them and welcome them properly. I am always rooting for you and I am here if you would like help along your Feng Shui journey ❤️
