You are probably reading this title and wondering what is Feng Shui cooking?

Feng Shui is a lifestyle. It is about infusing good energy into everything that we do and that includes making sure the right energy goes into our body. We need to make sure we are nourishing ourselves and our families with high vibrational foods.

Overly processed foods have a negative impact on our health and our emotions.

Not only is Feng Shui cooking about putting high vibrational foods into our bodies, but also about how we prepare the ingredients and the tools we use. From the plates that we eat from to the chopping board.

Everything has an an energy and is omitting a vibe and frequency.

All of my kitchen tools are pretty and luxurious. They make me excited to cook.

About 3 months ago, we made the decision to simplify all of the foods we eat. We stopped buying processed snacks and foods and, started shopping at the farmers market for locally grown fruits and vegetables and meat without hormones and chemicals.

It has been life changing! It has done wonders for my skin and overall health. We have more energy and we haven’t been sick in 6 months! If you are able to get food grown locally, I highly recommend. My dream is to one day grown my own food and actually my spring project starts that process (see photo below)

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that my secret talent is i am a fantastic cook! It comes naturally to me and my love language is feeding people (passed on from my grandmother)

My first thought when people are coming to my house is ‘what should I make?’

I am known to whip up a batch of cookies as you sit on my couch and sip a cup a of tea!

When I thought about having children, I always thought that I want them to always know they can come home for their favorite meals at any age. I have brothers that will drive through snow storms if I am making pancakes and another brother who thinks my grilled cheese is the best on this planet!

But, Feng Shui cooking is not just about being a good cook but rather, knowing that what you are making is filled with love and nourishment.

Feng Shui cooking tips

🥞 Be intentional about the ingredients you use. Shop local if you can. Always check the back of the box for ingredients lists. If you can’t pronounce them, they are probably horrible for you.

🥞 Plan meals ahead. Not only will this make shopping a better experience but will also free up your mind for amazing ideas to come in. A cluttered mind doesn’t receive intuitive nudges. Pinterest has so many cool recipes to try!

🥞 Throw away any cooking utensils and tools that are broken and falling a part. Treat yourself to new tools. Choose bright colors that light you up and get you excited to try new recipes.

🥞 Clean your kitchen regularly. No one wants to cook when the kitchen is a mess. Start with a clean kitchen.

🥞 Always rotate the burners you use on your stove. This activates abundance.

🥞 Make cooking an experience, light a candle, put on a movie, listen to music. Romanticize the experience.

🥞 Use the good plates and cutlery. Everyday is special occasion.

🥞 Learn what foods work best for your body. If you know too much sugar makes your skin breakout, limit your sugar intake. Eat for health and nourishment.

I hope this inspires you to get in the kitchen this week and try something new! I will be sharing a few of my recipes over the next few weeks!
