5 ways to make your home feel expensive
I love helping my clients feel abundant in their homes.
Money and prosperity is one of those subjects that most of us try and avoid. When I work with clients that would like more, sometimes they struggle to tell me.
I always tell them ‘how can the universe/God/Source, bring you more money if you can't talk about it?’
What i know is, if we can’t say we would like more money, then it can't come. We don’t have to be selfish or greedy, we can simply ask for more. Remember, good people do good things with money and you are good people.
One way that we can uplevel our abundance is by making our home feel luxurious. Your home is a 3D visionboard, it is there to support your manifestations.
I just want to add, it doesn’t matter where you buy your home decor from, it only matters how it makes you feel. For my office I once bought gold, metal baskets to store my clients notes in and I loved them, they made me feel so rich. I got them from the local dollar store but you could never tell!
5 ways to make your home feel expensive:
Decorate with the color purple. In Feng Shui the color purple is the color of abundance and prosperity. You don’t have to go crazy, just a small amount will do. Now, please note, if your desperately hate the color purple, do not put it in your home. That will have the opposite affect. If royal blue is your thing, try that instead.
If you have an avoidance to the color purple, check to see if you have any limiting beliefs about money. Sometimes when we avoid a color or just never think we can place it in our home, there is a reason. I used to avoid color altogether and I realized that growing up, my family also avoided color in fear of what others would say. Remember, you don't have to carry decor trends on from your childhood home. Your home, your rules!
Green can also be used. It is the color we associate with money after all. We can also use plants to bring in more green.
2. Choose materials that feel expensive and don't be afraid to mix textures and Feng Shui elements.
For example, if you have a leather couch, add some plush pillows or heavy blankets. Bring in different patterns and materials. Use a variety of height in your decor. If you have low furniture, add height with tall vases.
3. Use Gold. Gold accents make everything feel a bit more luxurious. I worked with a client a few months ago and we changed her kitchen hardware from silver to Gold and it changed the whole energy if her home.
When we think about Gold we think expensive. The energy of the color Gold is luxury.
4. Mirrors. Mirrors make rooms feel bigger, more expansive. If you have a small living room, hanging or placing a large mirror in it, will give the feeling that the room is bigger. When we think of how we want our money to be, we think of it as being expansive. We want it to flow to us and keep coming.
Mirrors are also connected to the element of water. The flow of currency.
5. Create a focal point and always balance furniture. Most living rooms have a focal point, maybe you have a fire place or large window that has the most amazing view. Dress it and add decor enhance that. It will enhance the whole room.
Balanincing furniture in every room, will keep the energy in harmony. When we are manifesting more money, we want to keep the energy in our home calm and stress free. We have to create a safe space for money to land and for abundant Chi to circulate.
You can also place two Feng Shui money enhancers in your wealth and abundance corner. Make sure the area is clean and clear of clutter first.
Bonus tip! Use good quality candles to make your home smell amazing! A home that smells good invites good Chi to circulate. I love suggesting to my clients to pick a signature scent for their homes!
