A few months ago I posted a picture on Instagram called My Monday Feng Shui Ritual and I got a ton of messages from people that were confused!

They were saying things like ‘ i thought you just put remedies in place and leave them’ or ‘why do you need to Feng Shui everyday?.

The truth is Feng Shui is about the relationship you have with your home. Creating a supportive and nurturing environment is something that has to be tweaked and worked on all the time.

When we tend to every area of our homes regularly, we keep the energy clean, aligned and magnetic. Adopting a Feng Shui lifestyle is so beneficial and creating a schedule for your week will make sure you are taking care of every area of your life.

The Bagua Map Explained

I talk a lot about the Bagua Map. This is one main tool i use when i read a home. It helps me to see where my client has any stagnant Chi and allows me to give them remedies to unblock that area. Now, although anyone can apply the Bagua to their home, sometimes you may find that the suggestions will cause change but they may not last. This is because you may need a deeper analysis and personal remedies. Feng Shui is very personal, each home has a unique soul.

The Bagua map is a ‘road map’ to energy flow within a home. ‘Ba’ means 8 and ‘Gua’ means trigram. You will also notice that the center is connected to health, but you may also see some Bagua Maps with the yin and yang symbol in the middle for balance and harmony. Modern Feng Shui splits the map into 9 equal sections, each representing a part of life.

The Center is on of the most important areas as this area takes care of mental health, spiritual health, emotional and physical health and without this area enhanced and remedied, the other areas may simply not be in flow.

What you may not know is, not only is each section of the Bagua map connected to a life area but also each area is also connected to a number, body part and person. This is not often talked about but something i dive deeper into and analyze when i do a full Feng Shui consultation. If you would like to book, you may do so HERE.

You may notice that you have a missing area when you apply the Bagua to your home. This usually indicate a loss of energy but, with certain remedies and cures they can be restored and bring the energy back into flow.

Feng Shui Weekly Schedule

As my Monday Ritual is pictured above i will start with Tuesday!

Tuesday:

Clean the Windows! This will ensure that the energy that comes into your home is clear and full of positive energy. If you have any hanging crystals, make sure you are wiping them down too.

This is the day my children clean their rooms! I also clean mine. Pick up any laundry that is piled up, put things away, wipe down night stands and check that they are in balance. You can also read my blog post about styling your night stands HERE.

Wipe down coffee tables and clear them of anything that shouldn’t be there.

Clean and dust the Center health area.

Wednesday:

Take out the garbage! This is my favorite thing to do (lol) I love the feeling of taking out and getting rid of things that hold old energy. It is also a good idea to go through the fridge and throw out old and expired food.

Light a candle in the Fame and Reputation Gua. This will not only activate your goals in the area but make sure you are bringing this area energy during the week.

Thursday:

I like to do a quick clean and tidy of the Family and New beginnings section and Children and creativity. Remove any clutter that has built up, Wipe down any art or mirrors in the area, make sure plants are healthy and clip any dead leaves.

Laundry day! I do multiple loads a week but Thursdays are for putting away laundry too. Sometimes baskets of laundry will pile up in a particular place. This means stagnant Chi in that section. Putting the clothes away will help clear that area. In my home it is the health section upstairs!

Take note of where other things pile up in certain areas of the home. This will help you see if you are having issues in that Gua.

Friday:

Did you know that Fridays are connected to the planet Venus? A great day to clean and tidy your Love Gua. Also, a great day to schedule in some self care! Take a bath, take the night off, journal or meditate. Ask yourself what you need and do it today!

Saturday:

Have a money morning! Take a look at your Money section and do a declutter and clean. Make sure that everything in that area is in good condition and remove anything that doesn’t align with you. Check that plants are in good condition. Clear your purse and wallet of old receipts and garbage from the week.

Also, check in with where you are financially. Light a candle and look at your online bank accounts to see where your money is coming in and out. Be grateful for whatever is in there! I always thank the money in my bank account. Remember, gratitude brings more things to be grateful for.

Sunday:

Sunday is the day to clean and clear my Travel and helpful people Gua, my knowledge and self cultivation Gua and career. I like to do these three on the same day. Check in with your career goals, remove any books from your home that no longer serve you, clean and declutter anything in these areas that have accumulated throughout the week.

I also like to organize my week on Sundays. Make a list of important things to do or bills to pay in the upcoming week.

This is also when i do my grocery shop! After all my Bagua map areas are tended to during the week, i know by Sunday if i need to buy anything that i need.

A really great day to also buy yourself a treat or flowers to brighten up your home!
