How to Feng Shui for good health

Looking after your health in every sense is so very important. Your mental health and spiritual health included. Health = Wealth.

According to Feng Shui, the health of your home is connected to the center of your home.

We can give a boost of healthy Chi to the center of our home after an illness has made it’s way through your home or simply just to help you through a difficult time.

The health sector is placed in the center and is the most important and here is why:

The Bagua map is designed in a way that all sections need to be in harmony to achieve Bliss in life. If you don’t have good health, the other sectors of life are pretty pointless. For example: you could have all the money in the world but, if you are unhealthy in the mind and body, the money is pretty pointless!

There are other rooms we can also rearrange the energy in for good health like the bedroom and kitchen. The bedroom is where we rest and, sleep is important for healing and, the kitchen is where we nourish our bodies for strength and wellness.

For now, let’s start with the center.

I had a client and few months ago that came to me to help her fix the health Gua in her home. When she showed me the center of her home I noticed that there were bags of recycling placed there. She had told me that before they put the recycling in the outside bin, her family pile up the bags in the center of the home. They sometimes leave those bags for a few days before they get put outside. As she was telling me she had come to the realization herself! It was as easy as that.

Feng Shui for health tips

🍋 Make sure the center of your home is clean and clear. Be mindful of what gets placed there throughout the week and see if you notice any patterns. If the area has a cupboard or drawer, edit that and only keep what is needed.

🍋 Use the color yellow. You could use art work or decor that has yellow in it. Yellow is the color connected to health. It is the color of sunshine and joy. You can also wear the color yellow to lift your mood.

🍋 Decorate using the Earth element. They earth element is grounding, it is stable. Use the Earth element to bring some stability in the mind and home. This could be placing decor made of earth materials such as bamboo or terracotta. You can also add some earth colors like browns and beige.

🍋 Add a Feng Shui hanging crystal. If, in your home, your family is always battling some kind of cold or cough, the hanging crystal will help to bring some positive Chi to the space.

🍋 Place a Citrine crystal in the center. Citrine is the crystal of happiness and is the color of the sun. It is yellow in color and is the earth element.

🍋 Create a sanctuary in the bedroom and focus on getting good sleep. If you don’t sleep well, your health is likely affected. Change your bedsheets often, choose calming colors. Invest in a air purifying machine, take out any workout equipment or work related items. Prepare your bedroom for rest and relaxation.

🍋 Let the sunshine in. Make sure you are opening the curtains everyday to let in natural light. Open the windows for a few minutes a day, particularly after an illness. The Sun has many healing benefits.

🍋 Bring plants into the home. Nature is known for its healing properties. I know for me, after a stressful time, a walk in the woods can do wonders for my mental health. Bring plants you love into your home. Avoid plants that are sick or dying. Don’t try and ‘rescue’ them.

🍋 Add a bowl of 9 lemons or some beautiful yellow flowers to the kitchen. Not only does this bring abundance, it brings health Chi into the home. I recently bought some daffodils and they make me so happy!
