Feng Shui tips for your weekend
Happy Friday!
This week we saw a New Moon in Pisces. Your emotions may have been hightened. So if you feel like you needed a good cry, this is why.
Pisces is a water sign and can affect our emotions.
I have been revisiting my astrology courses and books this week. It has been so fun to learn and understand people better after looking at their birth charts. It has given a deeper understanding about my clients when I blend Feng Shui and astrology, especially when looking at the zodiac and planet placements regarding career.
I added a new service to the boutique, you should go check it out!
Anyway, my tips for this weekend are focused on removing and releasing negative Chi from your home. Negative Chi can build up in corners or dark areas of the home all the time. It is why we can go through periods of negative events or bickering can be noticed more within the family.
Salt water cure
You may have heard about this before. Salt, if you didn’t know, is great at absorbing negative energy. Some people like to sprinkle it on the floor in their home and then vacuum it up. Some people put Salt outside of the front door to stop it from coming inside. I like to make a Salt water cure.
For this you will need:
✨️ Salt. Any kind will do, I like to use Himalayan Salt crystals.
✨️ A Mason jar or old candle jar (sometimes the salt spills over so a plate of some kind under the jar will protect the surface underneath)
✨️ Water
✨️ 6 Coins (optional)
You want to fill the jar with salt first about 3/4 of the way. If you are adding coins, place them on top of the salt. Then pour water until the level of water is about an inch above the salt.
You then want to place it in the Northeast of your home, or any room that you feel negative energy.
The salt will help to attract and absorb any negative Chi.
Usually people do this around the Chinese new year and then throw it away the day before the next new year and make a new one. It is important that when we are throwing the old salt cure away, that we are putting it in a bin outside of the home to take those negative energies away.
What you will see over the next few months is crystals of salt forming around the inside and eventually outside of the jar. That is the negative Chi.
Make sure you are putting the salt cure where it can not be reached by animals or small children.
My second tip this weekend is to clean the corners of your home.
Corners of rooms are like a magnet for dust and dirt. Dust and dirt will attract and trap negative Chi and that will have an effect on the whole Home. Some people don’t like to place anything in the corners of the home for this reason but if we are cleaning the corners regularly then it will be fine.
My third tip.
Place a quartz crystal in the for corners of your home.
Quartz crystal amplifies energy. When our home is filled with positive Chi, the quartz will help to amplify that. Quartz is one of my favorite crystals, I picked up a beautiful piece a few weekends ago at the Farmers market.
I also like to have crystals with me when I am Journaling and working to elevate the energy around me.
Lastly, if you have just been having a rough time and need a simple energy fix. Open the windows to let in some fresh Chi. You can even open the front and back door of your home for a few minutes a day.
Feng Shui can just be as simple as that!
