why your home needs your feminine energy and how you can apply it.

I am going to tell you a little story. A client reached out to me as she wanted a full Feng Shui analysis of her extremely beautiful pent house apartment. This place was stunning! So sleek, so chic with the most amazing views of New York City. Even though it had the wow factor, something was just… off. I could feel it from the zoom call we had together, there was a missing energy.

My client was so successful in every area of her life, except one. Her love life. She was always meeting new men but no one seemed to stick around long enough to truly get to know her. She felt that there was something that was almost repelling them away. Then it hit me as she was walking me around her pent house. The missing factor was her Feminine energy. No matter what our beliefs are there is one thing for sure, men love to tend to the needs of the female, they are the provider energy, the masculine, the action. When they feel like they are not needed they will naturally turn another direction.

This clients apartment had that, i don’t need you energy, that leave me alone energy. Now i am not saying that women need a man, but in order to be in balance the feminine (yin) and the masculine (yang) need to be in balance, in sync, in harmony.

These days its all about the hustle and grind, the doing and giving more, the always on the go. All masculine traits. What we are lacking is the feminine.

The feminine energy is the receiving, nurturing, the soft, letting go, the relaxing energy that this modern world seems to think of in a negative light.

This pent house, although beautiful, was cold, filled with light from the big windows and filled with, well, not much, as my client was rarely home.

So what did i do to change the energy and apply some feminine energy?

First, i recommended some window coverings. This changed the energy almost instantly. It provided some dark, cozy, yin energy. Sunlight is great Feng Shui, it is yang energy, but with so many windows, the home was flooded with yang energy constantly.

Did you know that if your life is feeling a little exposed, a little like everyone is in your business, check that your window coverings are a good fit for the windows in your home and that all big windows are ‘dressed’ properly.

Second, i suggested to warm the decor and bring in some softer fabrics. There was a beautiful leather sectional in the living room but not much else. We softened the couch with cream, fluffy throw pillows and placed a coffee table to anchor the energy.

Tip: If you have a living room with no coffee table, Chi can flow to quickly through the room. This makes it a hard room to relax in. A well styled coffee table also up levels the decor making it visually pleasing and makes you feel happier!

I then looked at the bedroom and there was a lack of feminine energy in the room. Feng Shui in the bedroom is so important especially if you are looking for love or wanting to strengthen the relationship you have. Make sure you have two side tables, this helps to keep balance in a relationship. If you are single, place another pillow beside yours. This physically makes spaces for someone else. If you have a single bed and can’t add another pillow, make sure that both sides of the bed are clear and one side is not against a wall.

Place the bed in the command position. Headboard against a solid wall, where you can see the door with ease. This is great for sleep and also symbolizes being able to see what is coming into your life.

Now the bed itself, it needs to have a solid headboard to symbolize stability and grounding. In my clients bed, we added pink sheets, the color of love and quite obviously a feminine color! Also, we placed two rose quartz crystals to each side table for an extra dash of feminine energy.

Three weeks after the analysis and my client putting all the things from the report in her home, she met a man that she feels came out of nowhere while she was getting coffee! I am happy to report that 5 months in they are happy and committed.

All she needed was to activate her feminine energy and bring that energy to her environment.
