Celebrity Feng Shui: The real housewives of Beverly Hills
One of my favorite things to do is cook and watch a TV show!
Once a week, I catch up with the real housewives (my guilty pleasure!) And the newest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is the one I’m currently watching.
The one thing that stands out the most, is that none of them are actually married anymore!
Over the years we have seen almost all of the marriages and relationships fall apart.
This led me to pay extra attention to their homes and how it could be affecting their marriages!
(Please note that these observations are done for fun and, i can’t help but to analyze every home I see on TV or otherwise!)
In the most recent season, we see the demise of Dorit and Pk's marriage. Something that i never thought would happen, I love them together. Their relationship had always been one that looked perfect from the outside. So I googled pictures of the home they live in and I will give you my Feng Shui analysis.
Please note: Pictures are taken from an article on the daily mail.
Above is the best shot of the front entrance i could find.
One thing sticks out to me the most and that is the entrance is wide and open and there is a window that is not covered. This can leave the home and people in it feeling exposed. There is also no mat on the inside of the door and the table in the entrance is small for the space. This can mean that Chi coming in will move too quickly around the home.
When Chi moves to fast, it will create tension and chaos in the home.
Black is great front door color for career. Black represents the water element and will bring the flow of money and opportunity.
There is also a lot of wood element in the home, almost over powering. While wood is excellent for growth and expansion, it over takes this home.
Money may not be a problem in the home but the other elements are not in harmony.
The chandelier to the right on the stairs is also not the best choice.
This particular chandelier has a downward, pointed, dagger like energy. In Feng Shui we would call them poison arrows!
This energy is harsh, it’s negative and will spread throughout the home.
The picture on the wall is of a single man. It doesn’t represent love or unity.
The kitchen is bright and clean. However, the sink and stove are facing eachother.
In Feng Shui this is not ideal. When water and fire and against eachother this causes arguments and bickering. To remedy this, a hanging crystal between the two elements or even a floor mat would help break that tension.
Again, the wood element takes over this kitchen.
Wood in the kitchen is generally a good element. Wood soaks up excess water Chi. However, too much wood and a large stove could create disharmony.
Balance is key.
This home generally lacks Earth and fire elements.
We need earth elements for grounding and stability in our homes.
The living room has well balanced furniture, however, I feel this furniture needs to be spread out more to fill the space. Having the furniture too close and leaving gaps everywhere adds to the Chi moving to fast. This is essential for this room particularly because of the large patio window.
From the pictures, this homes layout is a ‘L’ shaped and if we were to apply the Bagua map, we could see that the Love and relationship Gua is actually a missing area.
In conclusion the home is bright and large. There are key elements and areas of the Bagua map that are missing and if enhanced and remedied properly, this home could be harmonious and have good Chi.
Sometimes the grandest, biggest, well decorated homes have the worst Chi! Remember, your home may not be as big as this one but, the way it feels is what is most important.
