And how to Feng Shui your life.

Hello! I wanted to start off this post with a story!

So last week was so exciting for me. I got to Feng Shui a beautiful penthouse in London! Every time i have a client from the UK, i get so happy because, i was born and raised there, it is so dear to my heart!

My client, let’s call her Elle, to respect her privacy, was the definition of ‘that girl’ (‘That girl’ is a social media trend and wellness archetype that describes a woman who is constantly improving her life) She was confident and beautiful, with her nails perfectly manicured and not a hair was out of place. The impressive display of Chanel purses that immediately caught my eye when she appeared on Zoom, was enough to make anyone girl envious. Her penthouse overlooked the Thames river and you could see the Big Ben in from her living room. It was styled so beautifully yet there was something missing. Although Elle had reached all of her career goals, she was lonely and she said now that she had worked so hard, she wondered what was next for her. She booked a consultation with me to help her in her relationships and help her to find clarity in her next life direction.

You see, being ‘that girl’ on the outside is great but truly being ‘that girl’ is being balanced in all areas of life. Sometimes, applying Feng Shui to our homes is not enough, we need to Feng Shui our daily habits and inner energy too.

How we can Feng Shui our lives to become ‘that girl’

Feng Shui your goals.

Get really crystal clear on what your goals are. Make sure you are updating your goals since they will sometimes change as you evolve and grow. Make sure your goals are what you truly want, not what society tells you, you want or are not shaped by the opinions of other people. They are your goals.

Feng Shui your Food.

Eating foods that nourish your body is good Feng Shui. We all need to eat, it is something most of us do 3 times a day, so be picky about what goes into your body. Learning what you like and don’t like is important and eating foods that are healthy, is an act of self love. It is also good Feng Shui to slow down and make your meals special. Make sure you are using the good China, not just on special occasions but everyday. Treat everyday as a a special occasion. You are worthy of that.

Feng Shui your mind.

How do you do this? By Journaling your thoughts daily. I like to do this in the morning. When I wake up is usually the time when thoughts spiral and I remember all the things I need to do today. Journaling is a great way to get out those thoughts and create new ones.

Don't let negative thoughts take over and ruin your day. Leave them in your Journal and make space for new, inspired thoughts to come in. Just like decluttering our homes can create space for more good to come in, decluttering your mind has the same effect.

Feng Shui your relationships.

Who are you spending your time with? How do those relationships make you feel? Are you spending hours a day listening to a girlfriend and her boy troubles or are you being taken advantage of by someone? Relationships are all about balance. Pay attention to how you feel after you have seen a friend. If you feel depleted and tired, maybe it’s time to reevaluate those relationships or simply take a break. Your mental health should be your first priority. It is not selfish to say no to someone.

Feng Shui your time.

This is a big one for me. When I started to plan out my time properly, I realized I had more free time since I wasn’t rushing around without a plan. Set a time to wake up, eat your meals, and work. Time blocking for work is so important. Two hours of concentration is better than 8 hours of unstructured time to work. You will feel more productive and more accomplished. Don't forget to carve out breaks and try and go to sleep at the same time every night.

Feng Shui your Karma.

What we put out will always come back to us so why not put out good things? Donate clothes, help out at a food bank, plant a tree. When we do things from the kindness of our hearts, we recieve love back in other forms.

Being ‘that girl’ means we are kind and we do good and we get ti be the change.

I am going to post my personal morning routine! I have worked at this as I move into my ‘that girl’ era for 2025. As well as always applying Feng Shui to my life, it is also important for me to set myself up for success.

You can start your ‘that girl’ journey by using the tips above and creating a morning routine that works for you. Remember, in the beginning it will be tough, but you are doing it for your future self.
