How to activate the wealth area in your home
You may not know this, but in Feng Shui, we believe that every home, business, building and room has a wealth area. A space that is dedicated to and connected to the wealth that flows into your home.
In Feng Shui your home is divided into 9 energy centers, or Guas.
The wealth corner is located far left corner of your home. So if you are standing at the front door, point to the furthest left corner, that is your wealth and abundance sector.
Activating this corner can help enhance your financial prosperity. It is all about inviting in abundance, in all aspects of life, and making sure the energy of harmony flows throughout your home. Making money feel welcome enough to stay in your home is key!
Below is the money corner of my home.
The Feng Shui in the money corner does not have to be obvious. A lot of Feng Shui consultants will tell you to place all sorts of trinkets and coins but adding the 5 elements and making sure the element of wood, the element that represents wealth, is present is really all it takes to activate.
6 steps to decorating your money area
This is the most crucial step for all of the areas of your home. Decluttering. A cluttered space blocks the flow of abundance. In this area especially, you need to have decor and elements that support organization and structure. If it is a room that is a child’s play room, for example, add wooden storage bins or bins that can contain the toys. Clear out anything not being used anymore.
2. Remove any negative images or symbols that scream lack! For example, if you have a picture of an unhappy person or an image of one tree, replace them with pictures of an abundant forest or happy people. Also, remove any broken objects as they represent a decline in finances.
3. Dead plants and flowers. This represents the drying up of money and opportunities. Replace with artwork that shows a full bouquet!
4.Empty vases. This symbolizes lack. Instead you can add coins to the vase or fresh flowers.
5. Books about debt or getting out of debt. Replace with books that support money or books that are written by someone wealthy that you admire.
6. Mail such as bills or legal documents. Bills in this area creates and abundance of….. bills!
Tip: Make time, maybe once a month to take a look at your finances. Pictured above is what I do before I open my online banking account to see where I can improve my finances. Being comfortable, instead of scared to face your money will bring more to you.
Affirm: Money loves spending time with me and I always have more than enough.
The wood element
When enhancing your wealth area, the element to enhance is wood. You can add wood by decorating with the colors green and brown and using wooden elements. You can also add crystals such as citrine, pyrite and amethyst. Plants are also so good in this area.
Plants that I love for the wealth area are money trees, lucky bamboo and rubber plants. By keeping plants thriving and growing, your wealth energy will always be growing and expanding.
When it comes to activating your money corner, lighting plays an important role. A well lit money corner keeps the energy flowing
Lamps, chandeliers, candles and ceiling lights can be added.
Add a mirror. Mirrors energetically move energy. Not only do they expand the space in a room, they also expand the energy of what the reflect. In Feng Shui, mirrors will double what they reflect.
By incorporating the right decor and style, you can create a harmonious and prosperous space that will support your money goals.
Imagine walking into your home and being able to feel the magnetic, abundant energy that also looks luxurious and wealthy!
